First look at Bruce Campbell in “Ash vs. Evil Dead!”

Back when it was announced that Bruce Campbell was coming back to his role as Ash, fans were more than excited. In a ten episode miniseries appearing on Starz, Campbell returns to the role of his famous Evil Dead character and should be kicking ass once again.

The series will be titled “Ash vs. Evil Dead” and from the picture seen above, it looks like we can expect the same Ash that we know and love. While Bruce Campbell has aged a bit (as seen in the picture), he still carries that charisma that we all know and love. And charisma is where it counts when it comes to the role of Ash. He’s a badass, a bit exaggerated, and even a little bit of a goof, but those traits are what makes him the character that we love.

This…is my BOOMSTICK!

As it turns out, and from what you can see in the top photo, Ash is still a stock boy based on his attire. He’s still sporting the chainsaw arm and I’m sure we’ll see his “boomstick” pop up later in the film as well. As far as the story goes, he will be joined by two younger newcomers that will join him on his ass-kicking. Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana Delorenzo) are two other Value Stop employees that will join in the “fun” but of course I know that Ash will be showing them the ropes.

Hopefully this Starz series will do the “Evil Dead” franchise justice. But when you have Bruce Campbell on board, I’m sure that it will be enough to see him reprise the role that has established him so well. With that said, I’m sure that Starz is expecting a few new subscribers for this series.

How do you feel about Bruce Campbell’s return to the “Evil Dead” franchise?
