Nick Robinson Stalks Rosario Dawson Into A Relationship In ‘Krystal’ Trailer
Krystal Nick Robinson Rosario Dawson Grant Gustin Trailer

“Krystal” hits theaters April 13th.

Nick Robinson stalks Rosario Dawson into a relationship, and Grant Gustin is cool with it, in the “Krystal” trailer.

After watching the questionably acted yet oddly charming first “Krystal” trailer, I can’t help but want to see more. Nick Robinson, who is currently receiving a hearty heaping of “love” for “Love, Simon,” joins superhero friendly actors Rosario Dawson (Netflix’s “The Defenders”) and Grant Gustin (CW’s “The Flash”) for what seems to be an oddball indie-romance-comedy-ish thing-a-ma-jig.

A young man living a sheltered life develops a crush on a stripper and joins her Alcoholics Anonymous group just so he can be in the same room with her.

Watch the official trailer #1 for “Krystal.”

First and foremost, I was really surprised to see Grant Gustin, as I have not seen him play much other than an emotional superhero in “The Flash” and and emotional all boy prep-school a-cappella group leading bully in “Glee” [GASP].

I’m also really interested to see the on-screen dynamic between Nick Robinson and Rosario Dawson. It’s an interesting pairing and a super bizarre concept, just incase the ‘guy stalks stripper into loving him, punches her ex T.I. in the face, then rides away on her son’s lap in his electric wheelchair.’

Read our review of “Love, Simon.”

Speaking of T.I., he’s apparently in this movie. So is William H. Macy, and he’s also directing. Is it a low-key star-studded sleeper-hit waiting to happen? Maybe. But there is a big question mark on writer Will Addis. Given his 5-installment and less than desirable repertoire, including “Avenging Angelo” a crime-action comedy starring Sly Stallone and “Black Cadillac” featuring Randy Quaid, this is the foreseeable worst case.

Wether “Krystal” is A-Macy or joins the ranks of Will Addis’ IMDB page, I’ll be watching. Not like in a weird Sting-way or something, I mean I’m going to watch the movie when it comes out.

“Krystal” hits theaters April 13th.

What do you think? Will you “Love” Nick Robinson’s next film, or will it be gone in a “Flash?” <—– [SEE WHAT I DID THERE?] HA! Sorry, sometimes I’m so “Shameless.”

About The Author

Pooya

Since his wee lad-dom, Pooya has been a sommelier of cinema. It was likely some acting bug, fallen from the dust riddled ruby curtains of an enchanted old stage that did it. Those cinematic scarabs must have burrowed deep into his brain, irreversibly altering his mind, turning the poor boy down a dismal path. From his earliest years the strange boy would aimlessly wander the aisles of countless video rental stores, amassing his trivial knowledge with vigor. These actions befuddled the boy’s parents, who still would lovingly oblige his unusual attraction to the motion picture. Often seeking refuge in the cushioned seating of his local movie theater, the odd adolescent would immerse himself in the scripted and effects riddled realities unfolding on the screen before him. During his collegiate years, he was twice spotted on stage performing bizarre theatrical rituals before awe-struck audiences. When he departed from academia, he left behind his youth in exchange for a labor routine, but the strange young man never lost his long-cultivated love of film. Recently, Pooya was approached by FilmFad.com to join their budding team of entertainment bloggers. After hours of coaxing and an undisclosed number of honey jars, he accepted their offer. Finally he had come full circle. Finally, at FilmFad.com, he was home.
