3. Curious George: A Halloween Boofest

3. Curious George Halloween BooFest

My wife and I have always loved Curious George, a trait that my daughter inherited.  The story is an age appropriate mystery for children 3-8 years old, so older kids may not find it as interesting.  While watching this with my daughter, I found myself more interested in watching her reactions than watching the movie.  Parents, if your kid is watching this, feel free to surf the internet or Facebook on your phone.  The children will never notice.

(available on Netflix instant stream)

2. Toy Story of TERROR!

2. Toy Story of Terror

While we may not get another feature length Toy Story movie anytime soon, Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang encounter there own scary adventure in “Toy Story of TERROR!”  The scary elements are just enough for this to fit the mold of a Halloween special, but the truth it is is great to watch anytime of year.  My daughter loves this one and just like the movies and other Toy Story shorts, I seem to enjoy it possibly more than she does.

(airing throughout October on the Disney Channel,Disney Junior and ABC family; check your local listings)

About The Author

Davy

Davy 'The Dragon' Moorhead is a lover of many things: his family, beer, March Madness, Old Dominion University sports and television/movies. In fact his favorite memory is watching the best film of all-time, "The Dark Knight" on TV in the hospital with his daughter the day after she was born (get them started early!). In fact, film and TV shows have had a major influence on his life beginning with "Doogie Howser M.D." and "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and more recently with "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "The Walking Dead". He leaves no genre aside in search of the next best thing. Though his choices may not be viewed favorably by everyone (he still thinks "50 First Dates" is a top 10 movie of all time), he stands be his convictions.
