Bruce Campbell Confirmed To Be in ‘Mallrats 2’
Kevin Smith asked Bruce Campbell to be in “Mallrats 2” and he accepted!
At New York Comic Con 2015 Kevin Smith ended the “Ash Vs Evil Dead” panel with a question to Bruce Campbell. Putting the pressure on by asking him in a public forum, Smith asked Campbell if he would be in his upcoming film “Mallrats 2” and Bruce Campbell graciously accepted the offer.

Fans cheered with excitement as Campbell accepted the offer with almost no hesitation and Kevin Smith left with a smile himself. This will be Bruce Campbell’s first appearance in the “Mallrats” franchise.
This time around the “Mallrats” sequel will focus centrally on Brodie played by Jason Lee. It is said to follow a sort of “Die Hard” scenario as terrorists invade a local mall with a comic convention going on as well.
Other cast members like Jason Mewes, Shannon Doherty, and of course Kevin Smith have been confirmed for “Mallrats 2” but this is the first time hearing of Bruce Campbell in film. Given that this announcement was just part of a public conversation, the details of Campbell’s role have not yet been discussed. But one thing that we do know for certain is that “Mallrats 2” IS Kevin Smith’s film so if he asked the question and Bruce Campbell confirmed, there is not a lot of red tape to cut to make this happen, as long as we can count on Bruce Campbell living up to his word.
The release date for “Mallrats 2” has not yet been confirmed.
