Singer hints Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse

X-Men Apocalypse Archangel

I think we may see Archangel as a horseman in “X-Men: Apocalypse!”

Bryan Singer has been leaving us clues on his Instagram account regarding X-Men: Apocalypse. Today he hinted at one of my most anticipated characters for the upcoming X-Men film and I think others will be excited as well. In the photo below we see a character with angel wings which is obviously X-Men’s Angel who is later transformed into Archangel by the villain Apocalypse!

There was much debate to whether we would see the pivotal character Archangel given Angel’s appearance in “X-Men The Last Stand” which takes place far in the future. Given that the timelines have been disrupted in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” I believe that many fans may get what they’ve been begging for with the integration of Angel in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse” film. While we don’t see him as Archangel at this point, I see no other reason for reintroducing the character unless Bryan Singer was going to incorporate Archangel into the Apocalypse storyline.

This has me extremely excited as Archangel is one of my favorite X-Men characters and a pivotal part of the introduction of Apocalypse. While I don’t push speculation until it is actual fact, I would say that the certainty of Archangel appearing is very likely. To introduce the character for any other reason would not make sense because Archangel is tied in so deep to the Apocalypse origin story.

What do you think? Will we see Archangel in “X-Men: Apocalypse?”
