Spider-Man Venom Movie Spinoff: PLEASE Don’t Use The Ultimate Universe Venom

With Spider-Man getting his third try, the studios now have their sights set on one of his greatest adversaries, Venom. With a release date set for October 5, 2018, we don’t know what to expect other than this spinoff will be a solo film leaving us questioning how much involvement we’ll get from Spider-Man. But for now, we can only hope that the studios take this popular nemesis and do him justice. With that said, I only hope that they pull from the right source material and steer clear of the Ultimate version of the character. Let me tell you why.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ vs ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ Which Is The Better Film?

So the new Wolverine film, “Logan” seems to be doing pretty well and as is surprisingly common with this series the future is not certain for the X-Men. They may have kick-started the genre for many in the mainstream, but they certainly didn’t start the Marvel Studios method of planning out their series. Now Bryan Singer said to have had some ideas and plans for X-Men 3 after completing “X2: X-Men United.” However as he left to do his dream project of “Superman Returns” the writers and new director Brett Ratner went in their own direction. The result, “X-Men: The Last Stand” while not necessarily awful or panned at the time it was a disappointment and huge step down from the last two films. After years of getting through the highs and lows Bryan Singer came triumphantly back to the franchise to direct “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” In my personal opinion the best film of the series.

Logan: It’s Time To Make The X-Men Great Again

It is both a tragedy and a triumph that the ninth and final installment of Hugh Jackman as the beloved Wolverine is the superlative outing of the character.  The dark tone and gory gritty action that “Wolverine” veteran James Mangold gives James Howlett, coupled with standout performances from all of the actors, easily makes this the best film of the X-men franchise, and as some may come to say, one of the best comic book films made to date.  Why is it, then, that only as the wick of the candle burns to the end does it shine brightest?
