2016 MTV Movie Awards Recap and Trailers

MTV-Movie-Awards-2016

The 2016 MTV Movie Awards have come and gone but what happened that night?

MTV has their own movie awards and the winners are all chosen by the people. With Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart hosting the awards, there was of course a lot of comedy, but there was also a lot of mayhem. Let’s walk through the madness and awe of the 2016 MTV Movie Awards!

New Trailers

There’s been quite a few trailers for DC’s “Suicide Squad” and Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” but MTV brought yet another trailer for each film that revealed just a bit more about what’s to come. We also saw a new trailer for the Harry Potter spinoff “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Check the trailers out below.

The “bleep” moments

MTV wouldn’t be a more risqué awards show without having the censors on full alert. With Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson hosting, there were definitely a few expletives thrown around. They definitely pushed the limits when they performed a song claiming that Leonardo DiCaprio had sex with the bear in “The Revenant.” Check out the footage below.

Then there’s the song that connected Ryan Reynolds to Deadpool in the first place. Check out Salt N Pepa give a revival performance of “Shoop” for Ryan Reynolds himself.

The Lonely Island presents Will Smith with the Generation Award

When it comes to an all around achievement award, MTV calls it the “Generation Award.” This year’s recipient was Will Smith and he got a career recap from none other than The Lonely Island. Watch as they attempt to bring down the house with some of Will Smith’s classic hits.
