For this Easter I thought we could take a look back at one of the most controversial films of all-time. Martin Scorsese’s “The Last Temptation of Christ”, not surprising as it is a film about Jesus and in this day-and-age that seems to go hand in hand. It’s based on an equally controversial book and has divided viewers for years. It begins as basically retelling of the story of Jesus just with a greater emphasis on his inner conflict and trying to show him as a human first, the son of God second.

As a DVD collector who has been at this for some time I thought it would be nice to help others who want to get into the hobby or just want some help. I research my DVDs before I buy and in fact it’s EXTREMELY rare for me to buy a movie I haven’t already seen. I don’t want to be stuck with a film I end up not liking. As it happens I got a hold of two different versions of “The Wizard of Oz” on DVD and the differences are quite interesting. Hopefully after reading this, you’ll know which one you want to own.
