Finally! We have our first full look at “Spider-Man: Homecoming!”

UPDATE: We’ve also included the international trailer with additional coverage.

We recently got a preview of the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailer. But while this built the anticipation, the full trailer has finally debuted on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Take a look at Tom Holland in action in the trailer below.

And here is the international trailer that has a bit more coverage of Michael Keaton’s Vulture and Tony Stark and Peter’s conversation…

This is a new beginning for the franchise. While we’ve seen Spider-Man in a high school setting before but they’ve all had a more adult feel. From what we see in the trailer for “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” Peter Parker is still very much a kid. This is most likely going to be a film for all ages even if it receives a PG-13 rating.

Another first is seeing Spider-Man incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Seeing him interact with Tony Stark and the trailer ending with a Spidey and Iron Man fly by was very exciting. Based on what we’ve heard thus far, Robert Downey Jr.’s appearance is a limited one, so I doubt we’ll see much of a Iron Man and Spider-Man team up. But I definitely hope I’m wrong on that one.

As far as the villain goes, there’s not much context. The Vulture has received the same type of tech makeover that we’ve seen with other Spider-Man movie villains. It makes sense to do this for real world applicability and in fact the Vulture does look pretty cool.

After seeing the trailer I have even higher hopes for the film and Tom Holland as Spider-Man. I’ve enjoyed the other Spider-Man films but I think this one has the potential to culminate all that Spider-Man can be.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” releases on July 7, 2017.

Looks like a lot of fun, and my family is all excited to see it. One thing of interest is the casting of Mary Jane. There’s been a small flap about them going against type and not casting a red head caucasian actress for the role making it more like the comics. I was substitute teaching a class of high school students. We had finished the work and were chatting a bit before class ended. This got brought up by the students and a group of us were chatting. Myself and one student were the only white people in this… Read more »
