The name "Dark Phoenix" carries a lot of weight for the X-Men franchise. As one of the most pivotal stories about one of Marvel's most powerful characters, the last X-Men film from Fox seems to be relying upon name alone. While the trailer pleases from a visually aesthetic point of view, the plot does not feel like it will hold water.

I've had this idea to make a feature out of looking at a bunch of recent trailers. You may have noticed our lack of articles for each new trailer coming out, mostly due to just how many come out at once sometimes. Now in each of these specific cases I watched them at times when it wasn't possible to do a reaction video. So consider this a pilot-article so to speak. This should provide cat nip for fans of the auteur director and talented actors. The autumn season tend to bring audiences both award contenders and horror movies so why not have both in one movie? It makes sense! Starring a cast of accomplished actors including Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer and Ed Harris, “mother!” opens wide September 15th.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino ("A Bigger Splash," "I Am Love"), the gay romance set in 1980's Italy stars Timothée Chalamet, Armie Hammer, and Michael Stuhlbarg. I had the pleasure to watch this poignant, tender, and soul stirring movie at this year's Sundance Film Festival. The emotionally resonate drama is a masterpiece of romantic cinema for viewers regardless of their sexual orientation.

“Westworld” ended leaving us with many questions. With the first trailer for the second season of the HBO hit series hitting San Diego Comic Con this weekend, we still have questions but now accompanied with anticipation. Many of the characters are still making their rounds in the fictional western amusement park, but we don’t know what they’re up to. Given the nature of the show, I’m sure that we will pretty much be waiting until the show’s premiere until we get any concrete answers.
