While it seems like a commonly accepted truth, there are those that still deny that Han Solo was the first to shoot Greedo in the “Star Wars” Mos Eisley Cantina scene. Despite what the special editions of the original trilogy show, the original cut has our favorite smuggler blasting the bounty hunter Greedo away before the Rodian can collect. But whether you are an adopter of the George Lucas re-releases or a traditionalist, the latest film “Solo: A Star Wars Story” creates a narrative in favor of the “Han Shot First” movement.

Sadly this year's 'Star Wars' Day (May the 4th) snuck up on me, despite me having an idea for a while. So you'd think that's it. Either wait until next year or just release it late for everyone to see how late you are. However, today is May 6th as in Revenge of the Sixth. I'm counting it as a "Star Wars" Day and I'm ok with claiming this was all planned. So anyway why review this? Well I find it to be a fascinating little piece of “Star Wars” media and I like sharing that kind of stuff.

Midway through my review for “The Last Jedi” I have this thought weighing heavily on my shoulders. The film is visually fantastic, the lightsaber battles are amazingly well choreographed, and overall everything is well structured and cohesive throughout. But despite this movie hitting the mark as a standalone entity, it left me feeling unsatisfied as a Star Wars fan. After two years of speculation and anticipation, I can see why the hate exists and as a fanboy, I’d like to take this opportunity to further elaborate.

"Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" (because I REFUSE to call it just "Star Wars The Last Jedi") is out. Like many other fans I'm spending the time re-watching the older films in preparation. This time I actually do have a legit excuse in introducing them to my girlfriend because if we can't get over this hurdle then I have serious doubts in the future of our relationship. Sorry hun. Anyway I felt it was time to go over what are my favorite moments from all the films. SPOILER ALERT! Let's begin!

Although we had our own preemptive spoiler warning from Rian Johnson, be warned that this latest trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” may dampen your movie going experience. It’s an extremely well made trailer and better than the first, but for some this may connect too many dots. So heed this spoiler warning before you read any further.

Directors Phil Lord & Christopher Miller have left their jobs as directors of the new Han Solo film. Disney has been kept us chock full of new Star Wars films. The idea was to make an anthology series to go along with the main saga. The next is a spin-off showing the origin of Han Solo. We've had photos and other news that seemed to indicate the production was moving along smoothly. Recently that all changed as it was announced halfway during the making of the film, they lost their directors. This isn't terribly unusual as directors and studios part ways all the time. However, usually it happens earlier in pre-production before cameras start rolling. The fact this is happening essentially at the midpoint of production is very surprising.

We all love Han Solo. His personality and swagger are what many strive for in life. But while we love his antihero persona and sometimes harsh nature, his natural "luck" sometimes exceeds that of common characters in the "Star Wars" universe. While he may not officially be a Jedi or in tune with the force, he definitely shows signs that say otherwise. Join us as we explore the many reason why Han Solo could and should have been a Jedi.

I personally LOVED “Force Awakens” and I think other people did too. Or at least most people did. Now before I proceed don’t misunderstand me, I am NOT saying that if you disliked the movie your opinion is wrong. I’m also not trying to box everyone who disliked it into angry internet trolls. People will like what they will. You are all entitled to your opinion. That being said I’m entitled to completely disagree with it and with this article try to fully articulate why I think those who complain about “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” are on a great first step into a larger world. Oh and SPOILER WARNING!

Despite Electronic Arts’ justification that “Star Wars Battlefront” focused on the multiplayer experience, overall fans were still disappointed. Based on that disappointment, it sounds like EA and DICE have listened to fans and has confirmed changes for “Star Wars Battlefront 2.” The most important changes come in the form of a single player campaign mode, more locations, and more characters.

Another year another new controversy has sprang up in Hollywood, should we CGI Actors? A long time ago I remember a book that I borrowed over and over from the school library was about special effects in film. The very end had a section what the future may hold with what can be done with computers. Maybe one day Marilyn Monroe could act again in films. I hadn't thought about that book in many years. Like the old saying goes, the future is now!
