There are few certainties in this world. One of the most prevalent is that 'The Simpsons' used to be practically perfect in every way. However, has since gone downhill. Now some of that is still open to interpretation. The public seems to agree that the golden era of the show were seasons 3 through 8. It's not hard to see where they're coming from in terms of the sheer amount of classic episodes that came out during that time. Personally I think the golden era extended a few seasons beyond that. In fact, season 9 contains my personal favorite episode “Lisa's Sax.” For me the best time for "The Simpsons" were when Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein were running the show. It had the best balance of really funny jokes with genuine emotion. They quit after the 8th season as they didn't want to overstay their welcome.

The 4th season of “Black Mirror” just dropped on Netflix and for those that haven’t seen the show, I’d put it on your must watch list for 2018. As you may know, Black Mirror is a sci-fi anthology series that features episodes in modern society centered around ramifications of innovative technology. For many people, the first episode can be a bit too much but if you can stick with the show, it is worth it (will be talking about that in a minute). With the 4th installment, “Black Mirror” continues to bring forward incredibly complex and controversial plots. As a modern “Twilight Zone,” the series finds a nice blend of creative sci-fi plots and compelling storylines with superb acting. It is refreshing to see such original content with extreme plot twists and intriguing storytelling that can leave your jaw open questioning, “did they just go there?” Not many sci-fi shows can claim this. Before you begin watching season 4, here are my top 5 episodes from the previous 3 seasons. Disclaimer, I will do my best to not spoil any of the episodes.

After years of waiting patiently, fans can finally get closure with "Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie." A thing to know about me is that I am a big "Hey Arnold!" fan. I watched it all the time growing up. I did NOT like the "Hey Arnold!: The Movie" (fair warning I'll be referring/comparing this a lot throughout) that came out in the early 2000s and can see why it killed off this film for some time. Like my "Trans-Dimensional Turtles" review I think I'll need to quickly give my thoughts on the "Hey Arnold!" series first so that you can see where I'm coming from.

"Stranger Things" is something that if my little sister hadn't pressed me on it's possible that it would have passed me by like many other acclaimed Netflix series I just don't watch. So thanks Lily! I wanted to wait to make sure plenty of readers had finished. Overall I thought the new season was pretty good. A little “Ghostbusters 2”-ish with a little too much repeating, but enough new stuff to make it worth it. Still I love the show and can't wait to see whatever is coming next. Some things I'm more excited about than others. I think it's self explanatory, but SPOLIERS ahead.

Hiroyuki Sanada (“The Wolverine”) has been confirmed for a key role in the upcoming season of HBO’s hit series “Westworld.” What does this mean for the second season? Well thanks to a release of Funko POP figures, we can associate Sanada’s character (Musashi) name with an appearance. And based on that appearance, we see that Musashi is indeed a Samurai.

“Westworld” ended leaving us with many questions. With the first trailer for the second season of the HBO hit series hitting San Diego Comic Con this weekend, we still have questions but now accompanied with anticipation. Many of the characters are still making their rounds in the fictional western amusement park, but we don’t know what they’re up to. Given the nature of the show, I’m sure that we will pretty much be waiting until the show’s premiere until we get any concrete answers.

The “Stranger Things” season two trailer debuted at San Diego Comic Con and it gave us an in depth preview of what to look forward to. With Will experience residual effects from his time spent in the upside down place, things look a lot more intense than before. As said in the trailer, it sounds like the threat is not focused on him, but instead the entire town. As the trailer closes, we get progressive hints at Eleven’s return and an oddly unique, gooey portal that could be the means for her return.

As the second sports mockumentary since “7 Days in Hell,” HBO presents Andy Samberg’s next creation “Tour de Pharmacy.” Centered around cycling and the infamous blood doping scandal, this mockumentary takes these elements to an exaggerated level. In addition to an appearance from Lance Armstrong himself, “Tour de Pharmacy” also brings big names like John Cena, Jeff Goldblum, Dolph Lundgren, and Danny Glover to name a few.
