The name "Dark Phoenix" carries a lot of weight for the X-Men franchise. As one of the most pivotal stories about one of Marvel's most powerful characters, the last X-Men film from Fox seems to be relying upon name alone. While the trailer pleases from a visually aesthetic point of view, the plot does not feel like it will hold water.

While it seems like a commonly accepted truth, there are those that still deny that Han Solo was the first to shoot Greedo in the “Star Wars” Mos Eisley Cantina scene. Despite what the special editions of the original trilogy show, the original cut has our favorite smuggler blasting the bounty hunter Greedo away before the Rodian can collect. But whether you are an adopter of the George Lucas re-releases or a traditionalist, the latest film “Solo: A Star Wars Story” creates a narrative in favor of the “Han Shot First” movement.

The element of open world survival had intrigued me for months before my first session of "Player Unknown's Battlegrounds." I was a late bloomer as many PC gamers had already experienced the fun and XBOX players were playing months before I got a copy. While I am not an ace at the game, as an obsessed binge player I have learned a few tricks and strategies that have scored me the illustrious chicken dinner a few times now.

When it comes to Christmas films, there is an adequate amount of subjectivity in regards to the which movies can be considered a holiday tradition. Movies like “Elf” or “A Christmas Story” are apparently influenced by the holiday while other films like “Die Hard” or “Gremlins” are constantly debated. So how is a film categorized as a Christmas movie?

"Pitch Perfect 3" is the third and final installment of the franchise. The Bardem Bellas hit the road once more but this time it takes them on tour with the troops traveling across the world on the USO tour. There are many new discoveries about each other and themselves as this film brings the trilogy to a comedic but heartfelt close.

Midway through my review for “The Last Jedi” I have this thought weighing heavily on my shoulders. The film is visually fantastic, the lightsaber battles are amazingly well choreographed, and overall everything is well structured and cohesive throughout. But despite this movie hitting the mark as a standalone entity, it left me feeling unsatisfied as a Star Wars fan. After two years of speculation and anticipation, I can see why the hate exists and as a fanboy, I’d like to take this opportunity to further elaborate.

Disney has officially acquired 20th Century Fox and the Marvel Cinematic Universe will vastly expand. Now with everyone wondering when we will see the incorporation of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, I believe that the process has already begun and we may see this integration sooner than expected.

The Disney and Fox deal is just about finalized. This means that classic comic book storylines may better reflect their inclusion of the X-Men and Fantastic Four but could change the dynamic of Fox’s most successful individual property. The R-rated “Deadpool” could potentially have some changes that would impact the integrity of the current franchise. Ryan Reynolds himself took to Twitter to pose the question.
