X-Men TV Series Is Greenlit And Pilot Picked Up By Fox

Fox has officially ordered the pilot for a currently untitled X-Men television series. The project will be produced by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Television which will be their second collaboration following “Legion.” Matt Nix will serve as both executive producer and writer for the series. This project is said to be more closely tied to the X-Men universe than the upcoming series “Legion.”

In return for Fox’s creative liberties taken with Marvel’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead in Deadpool, Fox allowed Marvel to use Ego in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. While a Sony/Marvel type collaboration isn’t in the near future for Marvel and Fox, Kevin Feige himself acknowledged the improved relationship.
