Hans Zimmer been composing for major motion films since the 1980’s. If you do not know him, just think of films with scores that stand out. Lion King, Gladiator, Rain Man Pirates of the Caribbean, Dark Knight trilogy….Hans F’n Zimmer. His style and influence has impacted over 150 films, while earning Academy awards, Golden Globes, and Grammy’s among others. Though I absolutely loved the soundtrack to Dunkirk, I wanted to highlight my personal top 5 film scores by Hans Zimmer.

Due to the unexpected loss of his 20 year old daughter Autumn, Zack Snyder has decided to step down from his directorial role in the “Justice League” film. After losing her to suicide this past March, Snyder went back for reshoots on the film alongside some script changes from Joss Whedon. After being on set, Snyder felt he could not continue and asked Whedon to continue the film in his place.

Not every comic book character has decades of exposure to make them instantly recognizable on the silver screen. Blade, Spawn, and Steel were given the big screen treatment, to varying degrees of success. When "Iron Man" was released in 2008, a lot of non-comic book readers were scratching their heads. “Who’s that?” and “I’m not familiar with that character” were heard by die-hard fans everywhere. “Just go see it” they replied. And they did, making Iron Man a huge success, spawning two sequels and jump starting what is now known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even Deadpool, originally a fringe character from the X-Men’s universe, has been featured in a wildly popular film.

Taking into account a number of factors, I’ve picked the best trailers of 2016. Number of views, content, significance, and execution are all elements of consideration. There may be some trailers out there that are of higher caliber and quality, but for this list, I focused on the highest level of social impact and aesthetics. While some films may or may not have lived (or will live) up to their hype, the trailers behind them certainly caught our attention.

While the majority of the DCEU films have had more than their fair share of production troubles, “The Flash” appears to have things tougher than most. The film’s would-be director Rick Famuyiwa (“Dope”) has now left the project over you guessed it, “creative differences.” This latest setback is also likely to delay the film’s production and eventual release.

I love comic books and the superheroes and I have a sizable amount of knowledge about a lot of them despite only owning and reading a rather small amount growing up, thank you internet and before that those ultimate guide books. However, as I’ve grown up I’ve had the funds to build my own comic book collection and have done so. So what does this have to do with a film website? Well it just so happens I am completely fascinated by comic books that are turned into movies and then turned back into comics. Not just any, but specifically the ones where they drew them back in the style of the original comics. For instance I almost put the Batman movie adaptation comics on here, but decided not to as it being drawn very close to the actor’s likeness made it not fit in with the rest of these despite how badass the Michael Keaton version of Batman looks in comic form. So let’s get this started before I get off topic again.
