In 1931 “Dracula” starring Bela Lugosi started the original classic Universal Horror series of films. In the years since there had been other attempts at remakes of "Dracula". Some were great, some not but almost all of them greatly deviated from the original novel. In 1992, the timing seemed right for a big-budget, more book accurate adaptation. Who better to helm this ambitious project than the director of “The Godfather” trilogy himself, Francis Ford Coppola.

So here we are again, the “Halloween” franchise is currently so broken that to save it we must reboot the continuity. This time for an added bonus we get to bring Jamie Lee Curtis back to the role that made her famous, Laurie Strode... again. Still after “Halloween H20” did an adequate job of restarting the series it still fell apart again shortly after. So let's see if this Jamie Lee Curtis return is worth the hype and a true successor to the original John Carpenter classic.

"Halloween H20: 20 Years Later" was the first time the "Halloween" had to be revived with Jamie Lee Curtis. Now that yet another 20 years has passed and another revival with Jamie Lee Curtis is due to come out let's take a look back. Why am I not doing a "Guide Through _ Series" article for the "Halloween" franchise. Simply put I don't care.

Brain Henson (son of “Muppet” creator Jim Henson) FINALLY releases his pet project “The Happytime Murders.” I say finally because I actually heard of this movie a couple of years ago on a list about films that were stuck in development hell. Now I'm a BIG Jim Henson fan and “The Muppets” in particular. I'm also a fan of his son Brian Henson who has directed a lot of Henson projects since his father's passing. He was also the voice of Jack Pumpkinhead in “Return to Oz” so the nostalgic feelings I have for him are high. Sadly it all just wasn't enough to save this film for me.

In 1988 George Lucas produced a Ron Howard directed film called “Willow” and a cult favorite was born. I can speak for myself that it is one of my most treasured of films. But why is that? Why did this film under perform when it was originally released but now has fans so dedicated? With a local theater the Naro screening it soon (June 1st) I thought it would be good to try and find out beforehand.

With many of the "Star Wars" films focusing on the Jedi and Skywalker bloodline, "Solo: A Star Wars Story" puts the spotlight on everyone's favorite smuggler, Han Solo. Joined by friends new and old, this film focuses on the origin of this iconic character as well as chronicling some of his most notable adventures.

Sadly this year's 'Star Wars' Day (May the 4th) snuck up on me, despite me having an idea for a while. So you'd think that's it. Either wait until next year or just release it late for everyone to see how late you are. However, today is May 6th as in Revenge of the Sixth. I'm counting it as a "Star Wars" Day and I'm ok with claiming this was all planned. So anyway why review this? Well I find it to be a fascinating little piece of “Star Wars” media and I like sharing that kind of stuff.
