Eric’s Guide to the “Predator” Series

Well there's really not much to say to set-up this guide through the “Predator” series. I did the “Alien” series last year and since there were so many films I held off talking about the “AVP” films so I could pump up an article about the “Predator” series. So every time I do one of these types of articles I sometimes go from best to worst or vice-versa depending on what I think best suits the topic. For this I think it would be best to just follow the release date order to see how this series has gone up and down throughout the years. Let's begin.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is essentially synonymous with the “Predator” films. He may have only been present in the first film but the battle between Dutch and the Predator was so monumental that the original film spawned into a franchise. Now with the upcoming “Predator” film titled “The Predator” from former “Predator” actor Shane Black, we may finally see the return of Schwarzenegger’s character Dutch.

No More “Terminator” Sequels, Maybe

After its disappointing box office and even worse critical reception the next film in the series has quietly disappeared from Paramount Pictures' 2017 schedule. Again not terribly surprising given the film's reception, but what is surprising is what replaced it. The Zac Efron and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reboot of “Baywatch”.

Terminator: Genisys – Fun for fans, eh for everyone else

While the franchise has given us some pretty spectacular moments in film, there have also been some less then stellar additions to the franchise (T3, Salvation). "Terminator: Genisys" should actually fall in line closer to the original and T2 however some clichéd performances hinder the movie from reaching its true potential. The film is really entertaining and if you are a fan nothing should deter you from checking it out. Actually I would recommend just about anyone to check it out.
