Horror movies are unquestionably popular, but success at the box office doesn’t always relate to success on the game consoles. That isn’t to say that there aren’t still some great games out there. Here are five of the best horror movies that have received their own video game treatments to get you ready for October.

Introducing non-gamers to Twitch is never easy, and I've also found it tough to introduce periodic gamers to the service as well. Something about sitting and watch someone play a video game or getting paid to play video games and make videos, which is a level you can achieve on both Twitch and YouTube, is a foreign concept to them. This is probably because video games have been frowned upon as a hobby and a fad for several decades. And even though video games are swimmingly going through a new phase of their evolution, it still may take a little bit longer for the general public to fully accept the fact that people can now be paid for making YouTube videos and playing games on Twitch... all while thousands of people from all over the world watch them at various times throughout the day.

Video Games. Well, I could go on and on about this glorious invention, but I’m not trying to go on and on today; I’m just trying to explain my reasons for loving this art form so much. Now, as I’ve grown older I don’t play as many video games as I used to. Back in the day, it was wake up, go to school, go home, play video games and do homework when my parents thought I was sleeping. I’ve been through addiction at 14, 15, 16 and 17 years old; thank “World of Warcraft” for that one. I’ve also failed tests because “Grand Theft Auto” made my time disappear. I matured after graduating from high school, though. I only left video games to my TRUE free time when it came to college, and after graduating from there I tried becoming a Twitch streamer for a little while, but that didn’t work out the way I wanted it to.

The Villain. In most games, there are thugs, bodyguards, ninjas, secret agents, zombies, monsters, and plenty more of an assortment of henchmen that usually follow the direction of one sole proprietor. This person is the villain. Sometimes they are female, most of the time they are male, but there have been moments when you could not categorize them as either. The villain is the one person/being/thing we are trying to stop during the course of a video game. Think Mario trying to save Princess Peach from Bowser, Link trying to save Zelda from Ganon, Ethan Mars trying to save his son from the Origami Killer, and your Jedi trying to stop Darth Malak’s evil plans. Sometimes the villain isn’t as obvious as those. Sometimes there’s such an incredible twist that you discover you’ve been working for the villain the entire time.

“Tetris” the ever popular video game is now being made into a feature film! How is this possible? “Tetris” is a game about shifting colored blocks and there is no story behind it, it’s just that simple. Well apparently simplicity and lack of substance is a feeble matter when it comes to monetary gain. Here’s […]
