Doomsday will be in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Doomsday is confirmed for “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice!”

While you expected Batman and Superman, you probably didn’t expect Doomsday to appear in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to Umberto Gonzalez via Cinema Blend, Doomsday will definitely be in “Batman V Superman” as the acting “muscle” throughout the film while Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) will be the brains.

Doomsday will be appearing in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. [Umberto] Gonzalez compared the super villains’s role in the film to what Darth Vader served as in Star Wars. The Dark Lord of the Sith was the muscle to Grand Moff Tarkin, who Mayimbe considers to be the main villain since he was the brains behind the Death Star.

Doomsday was pivotal villain in Superman comic book history. While Doomsday may have been responsible for the milestone event “The Death of Superman,” this storyline was either loved or hated by readers, no in between. Writer Dan Jurgens was responsible for this storyline where Superman “died,” but I’m guessing that we won’t see Superman’s death in this upcoming film.

I think that Doomsday will be half of a full spectrum villain. As Umberto Gonzales said, Doomsday will be the “muscle” so there has to be another character acting as the brains for Doomsday’s creation. Whether or not Lex Luthor will be those brains is not directly stated but I would bet on him playing that role. The film will already have Batman going up against Superman so I don’t think that there is any room for someone outside of Justice League members and Lex Luthor. Things seem to fit together nicely when associating Lex Luthor as the intelligent villain behind Doomsday and I think this will make for a great plot.

What do you think of Doomsday being a part of “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?”
