First trailer for Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs starring Michael Fassbender

The first trailer for Danny Boyle’s “Steve Jobs” is online!

We’ve seen a few films about Apple creator Steve Jobs thus far. But while these biopics have been rather lackluster, Danny Boyle‘s reputation along with Michael Fassbender’s may be what the film needs to spark interest and present us with a quality film. Take a look at the short trailer below and see what you think!

This film has had its problems. With both Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio backing out for the role of Steve Jobs, many were worried that this project would be definite failure. Along with that, the casting of Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak has discouraged many from calling this a “credible” film due to Rogen’s typecast roles in the past which consist of more slapstick humor.

When it comes to my opinion, I have to say that I’m on the fence. Both Danny Boyle and Michael Fassbender have generally been associated with quality projects but the amount of problems (as mentioned above) have me worried. I think that Steve Jobs is both an influential and interesting person to do a biopic on but unfortunately many films associated with him turn out to be less than stellar. Perhaps this self-titled biopic will emerge as a victory as they learn from past mistakes just like Steve Jobs did himself in his career. It may prove us wrong about the telltale signs of failure and other preconceived notions we may have about the film and slap us with a big “I told you so.” But if we are right and this film is indeed set for failure, then it may be the last opportunity to do a proper biopic about the iconic Apple creator. For now, all we can do is wait and see.

How do you think “Steve Jobs” will do at the box office?
