‘Yoga Hosers’ Trailer Premieres in an Absurd Fashion

Kevin Smith’s “Yoga Hosers” gets its first full trailer!

Stemming from Kevin Smith’s other film Tusk comes the spinoff “Yoga Hosers.” While we received tidbits of media for the film previously, we now get our first full fledged trailer with a plethora of bizarre moments. Take a look at the first trailer for “Yoga Hosers” below.

This film seems to be much more lighthearted in nature when compared to “Tusk.” While “Tusk” carried an underlying comedic tone, this trailer for “Yoga Hosers” touts the comedy present in the film. There is no dramatic horror element associated and instead follows the path of two teenagers concerned with the drama of high school with the horror being supplemental to the story.

We briefly saw the two Colleens in “Tusk” and another character returning this film will be Inspector Guy LaPointe played by Johnny Depp. In addition to the correlations to these characters there is also a small reference to Nazis once again as there was in “Tusk.” The tiny Nazi bratwurst men aka “Brazis” (played by Kevin Smith himself) walk the line between horror and comedy as they pose a small but significant threat in the film.

The title of the film also brings the opportunity to include “Tusk” star Justin Long in the film playing a much different role. He will be the Colleens’ yoga instructor Yogi Bayer which fits more into Long’s outlandish style of characters we’ve seen in many other films. In addition to Long we can expect previous “Tusk” cast members Genesis Rodriguez and Haley Joel Osment to return in supplemental roles.

As of now, “Yoga Hosers” has been shown in limited release at other film festivals but will be released nationwide on July 29, 2016.

Tell us your thoughts on “Yoga Hosers.” Is this a film on your radar?
