Teaser Trailer for ‘Inferno’ Brings Tom Hanks Back as Robert Langdon

“The Da Vinci Code” series continues with this teaser for “Inferno.”

Tom Hanks returns as Robert Langdon for the third film in “The Da Vinci Code” series, “Inferno.” He is joined by Oscar nominee Felicity Jones who will be playing Dr. Sienna Brooks who will be collaborating with Langdon to uncover the mysteries surrounding the mythos behind “Dante’s Inferno.” The official, full length trailer is set to release tomorrow (May 10th) but for now we have a teaser for the upcoming film. Take a look below.

In addition to Hanks and Jones, cast members also include Irrfan Khan (“Life of Pi”), Omar Sy (“The Intouchables”), and Ben Foster (“Lone Survivor”). Irrfan Khan will be playing the role of Harry Sims (aka The Provost) and Omar Sy will be playing Christoph Bruder. Ben Foster will be playing Bertrand Zobrist serving as the main villain for “Inferno.” Overall the cast is pretty well balanced and should compliment the film’s story with some more than adequate performances when it comes to sharing the spotlight with Tom Hanks.

David Koepp, who is also writing Indiana Jones 5, adapted the screenplay for “Inferno” based on the book by Dan Brown. For those unfamiliar with the book, this story will center around suspense and mystery as Robert Langdon teams up with Sienna Brooks to recover his memories after unexpectedly waking up in a hospital with amnesia. The pace of the film should remain consistent with previous films in the series as they race around Europe to uncover the truth.

“Inferno” is set to release on October 28, 2016 with the full trailer set to release tomorrow.

What did you think of this teaser trailer for “Inferno?” Are you excited for the third film in this Dan Brown adapted series? Stay tuned for the full trailer tomorrow!
