Jared Leto first full pic as Suicide Squad’s Joker

AAAH! David Ayer reveals Jared Leto as the Joker and he looks AWESOME!

From his Twitter account, David Ayer finally revealed Jared Leto as the Joker for the upcoming Suicide Squad film. Reminiscent of the Joker from the comic “The Dark Knight Returns,” Jared Leto seems to capture the essence of the character that we’re expecting to see in the upcoming DC films. Take a look for yourself below!

As stated above, I think Jared Leto looks AMAZING. I expect nothing less from the young and versatile actor with his dedication to so many of his roles. The tattoos and the “grill” give a youthful presence to the character while also capturing the look from “The Dark Knight Returns.” This photo of Jared Leto even looks like it was drawn with the same comic book intricate detail seen in the comics. It’s colorful and vibrant and his expression captures everything I’m looking for when it comes to introducing the first version of the Joker following Heath Ledger’s role.

The Joker in the comic “The Dark Knight Returns”

Since this is a Joker that appears in “Suicide Squad,” I’m wondering how deep the interaction with Batman will be. It will be the first time that the Joker has standalone role outside of being the villainous counterpart to the Caped Crusader. I wonder if we will see Ben Affleck pop up in the film since it seems as though the Joker and Batman always go hand in hand. I’m expecting that we will see Affleck given that DC is trying to build their own cinematic universe.

What do you think of the photo? How will this Joker fit into the DC Cinematic Universe?
