George Clooney at NYCC talks Tomorrowland and bat-nipples

George Clooney makes a surprise appearance at New York Comic Con for his upcoming film “Tomorrowland.”

New York Comic Con (NYCC) opened with a bang on Disney’s “Tomorrowland” panel. As Hugh Laurie made a few playful jabs towards his co-star George Clooney, the crowd immediately rose to their feet as the man himself appeared on stage. He immediately gained the “con crowd’s” respect as he claimed to have cut his honeymoon short to attend and then publicly apologized for his version of Batman and the suit’s “Bat Nipples.”

“Yes this is my first Comic-Con,” he admitted . “Since my Batman, I’d been disinvited from Comic-Con. I met Adam West back there, it was like, Hey, I’m really sorry..sorry about the nipples on the suit…”

George Clooney had many favorable things to say about “Tomorrowland.” He said that the film was “larger than most things I’ve been around” and that Director Brad Bird “has a real vision for what he wanted to do. It was really fun to do.” He also made a joke regarding he and Hugh Laurie’s portrayals as TV doctors saying that “two former television doctors” were going to get into trouble in the Bahamas.

With the trailer that we released yesterday and the appearance from George Clooney at New York Comic Con, “Tomorrowland” is getting quite the media coverage. It has a great cast and director attached and everyone seems to be more than pleased with their work on the film.

I have to say that I am disappointed that I did not attend the New York Comic-Con this year. This year’s con will go down in history being George Clooney’s first appearance at a comic convention. He’s the type of star that does not make those types of appearances so it just makes me wonder what else New York has in store this year.
