‘The Family Fang’ Brings Jason Bateman & Christopher Walken Together in July

“The Family Fang” is a darker, star-studded comedy coming to DVD on July 5, 2016.

Jason Bateman stars and directs “The Family Fang” which revolves around a rather peculiar family with an affinity for creating darker public “pranks.” Bateman is joined by Nicole Kidman playing his sister and Christopher Walken as his father. While recounting the obscure family moments of their past, the film reaches a climactic moment once these eccentric parents go missing. In what is presumed by some to be another elaborate prank, the majority presumes their disappearance is legitimate and a tragedy. Things take off when their children (Bateman and Kidman) set out to find their parents as they are uncertain of their fate.

This film has already been compared to a Wes Anderson film citing “The Royal Tenenbaums” as a viable comparison. Jason Bateman’s style of comedy tends to coincide with the quirky and sometimes darker style of Wes Anderson so it’s logical that this comparison would be made.

“The Family Fang” is currently available on Starz Digital but will be making its DVD home release on July 5, 2016 through Anchor Bay Entertainment.
