Did Channing Tatum Reveal His ‘Gambit’ Voice In This ‘Magic Mike’ Prank

Channing Tatum pulled a “Magic Mike XXL” prank, but did he reveal Gambit’s cajun accent?

When I saw this video prank for Magic Mike XXL I admit that I was intrigued to see audiences responding to the prank and had quite the laugh. But one thing I noticed was Channing Tatum speaking with certain southern accent when posing as an old man. Sure this video is related to “Magic Mike XXL” but as much as I frequent New Orleans, I would recognize a cajun accent anywhere. In playing the role of the old man screening representative in this prank, I think Channing Tatum might have revealed what X-Men’s Gambit may sound like! Take a look and listen for yourself at the prank below!

I know this may be speculation but I’m damn sure that Tatum’s accent is a cajun accent. Everyone lost it when Jared Leto changed his voice for 30 Seconds to Mars concert possibly revealing his Joker voice for the upcoming Suicide Squad film. Why haven’t people caught this possible reveal in this “Magic Mike XXL” prank video? The only thing missing from the signature Gambit accent is the “Mon’Amie” catchphrase.

“It gon be really real, put yo glasses on now.” I don’t think I’m the only one that’s hearing this. Start the video at around “1:36” and see if you catch it as well. This may be the Gambit voice that Tatum has been working on for so long and I’m thinking this is close to what we can expect in the 2016 film release. Even if this is not the accent, at least the “Magic Mike XXL” prank was funny, wouldn’t you agree? I had a fun time watching it and always love seeing audiences reactions.

What do you think? Did Channing Tatum reveal his Gambit accent or was it just coincidence?
