Bryan Singer Shares First Cerebro Pic for X-Men: Apocalypse

Bryan Singer just shared his first picture of the new Cerebro for “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

Bryan Singer shared very interesting picture on his Instagram account today. Many of us are anticipating any tidbit of information we can get about X-Men: Apocalypse so while this may not be a stellar reveal, it is a nice appetizer to satiate our appetites for the moment. Take a look at the photo he shared below of the set design for the next Cerebro.

For those of you that do not know, Cerebro is the device that Professor X uses to amplify his psychic abilities and expand his reach to other mutants. From “X-Men: First Class” to “X-Men: Days of Future Past” we’ve seen Cerebro grow closer to the scale of the device we saw in the original X-Men films. From this set design photo it seems like we may be close (if not there) to the full scale Cerebro that we’ve seen in those films.

The design is wide and circular with a platform in the center from which Professor X usually operates. Whether or not the further expansion of Cerebro will be included in the film is still questionable but with “X-Men: Apocalypse” being set in the 1980s, this is a very exciting time for the team. In the comics, the 1980s and 1990s were a point in time where the X-Men really gained popularity. The team had a balance of unique characters from the original team to the new members. Singer may have ventured from the path of comics with many of his films but I feel confident that he will capture the essence of the characters in this upcoming film.

Will Cerebro have particular significance to this storyline?
