‘Back to the Future’ Day Short Has Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown Once More

Christopher Lloyd reprises his role as Doc Brown in a “Back to the Future Day” short.

With “Back to the Future” day marking the 30th anniversary of the film on October 21, 2015, fans will get to see Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) in the Delorean once more. The trailer for the upcoming short film intended to supplement the “Back to the Future” trilogy hit the web today and shows Lloyd in his iconic Doc Brown attire and even more iconic time traveling Delorean. Take a look for yourself below.

The short will only be available for those who purchase the “Back to the Future” 30th anniversary set. It will be titled “Doc Brown Saves the World” and is expected to solely center around the time traveling adventures of Christopher Lloyd’s iconic character.

In addition to the short, both Robert Zemeckis (“Back to the Future” Director) and Bob Gale (“Back to the Future” Screenwriter) have been working on turning the popular trilogy into a stage musical. They have worked closely with Universal and Amblin to get this project going but a release date has not yet been disclosed.

For now fans can celebrate in their own way as “Back to the Future” makes its way back to theaters for a limited run in addition to the new box set. Be sure to mark your calendars for October 21, 2015 as it will be an essential celebratory holiday for any diehard “Back to the Future” fans out there.
