Unboxing: Loot Crate April 2016 Takes Us On a ‘Quest’

Loot Crate’s April theme is “Quest” and we did the unboxing for you!

Just after March’s “Versus” theme, comes the April 2016 Loot Crate “Quest” edition! As you might expect “quest” would have something to do with the recent more adventure driven forms of pop culture. In this box we see themes of “Vikings,” “Labyrinth,” “Star Trek,” and even “Zelda” explored. Check out the video below and see everything inside the Loot Crate box, the Level Up Apparel package, the Loot Anime box, and the Loot Pets box.

As we stated over the last few Loot Crate unboxings, it seems as though they’re shopping around for some new partnerships since we haven’t seen a Funko item since December. They’re very much attempting to diversify from the competition by releasing these different types of boxes. While I was a bit disappointed with the main Loot Crate box (primarily because the stuff didn’t meet my personal tastes), I do see a lot of potential in the Level Up, Loot Anime, and Loot Pets product lines.

The Level Up apparel line has remained consistent with their high quality clothing and unique paraphernalia. Even if the theme “isn’t your style,” the clothing is minimalists in design and made from good materials.

The Loot Anime box also has a lot of potential for the right demographic. I didn’t know what all of the items in the box were but even I was intrigued. The Phoenix Wright mini briefcase was very cool even if I didn’t know what the reference was. I could see this box being a big winner for subscribers.

Finally the big surprise of their new boxes has been Loot Pets. I cannot believe how well they’ve done with sending treats that have good ingredients in them. And the dog toys…all I can say is WOW! My dogs love the toys and the Quest crate included a stuffed toy that I’ve never seen my dog Nolan get so excited for. It’s his new favorite toy and if I could find it outside of Loot Crate I would probably order about 10 more just from how happy it makes him.

As said, we all have our favorite Loot Crates but this crate did have a lot to offer, especially for fans of adventure based media. Loot Crate is still a lot of value for your money and the surprise is definitely worth it.
