Disney may have confirmed a Star Wars six film re-release

Did Disney just confirm a “Star Wars” original six film re-release in an Italian commercial?

Ever since George Lucas ruined the hi-def film release I anxiously anticipated, I’ve been waiting for an original cut of the series to be released. With that excessive wishing, along came Disney, a company that loves to capitalize on merchandising more than Lucas. After George Lucas’ refusal to release the original cuts of the original “Star Wars” trilogy, Disney brought hope to the plethora of fans asking for a properly done Blu-ray set. With an Italian commercial recently released, it seems like that hope may finally become a reality. Take a look below and decide for yourself.

Enter Disney’s magical world, with the brand new site disney.it. All your favourite Disney characters await you, including the most engaging TV series and plenty of exclusive videos and content. Amazing apps and games and a online community to share your passions. All of this, simply from any PC, tablets or smartphones. Carry the Disney’s magic always on you.

This definitely confirms a digital release of “Star Wars” but does not confirm a Blu-ray set. With that said, I don’t think that a digital release would come without a Blu-ray boxed set, it wouldn’t make sense. So without an actual release date confirmation, I would say that a Blu-ray release of the films we’ve wanted is leaning more towards happening than not happening. There is no way Disney will not eventually capitalize on something fans are definitely going to buy.

What do you all think?
