Trailer For Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is Here!

Tim Burton’s “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” finally has its trailer!

Many are calling “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” Tim Burton’s version of X-Men and from the look of this trailer, they wouldn’t be far off. Miss Peregrine definitely plays the role of Charles Xavier aka Professor X with her lavish home for peculiar (“gifted”) children (“youngsters”). Take a look at the trailer below and see for yourself.

There was a time when Tim Burton films seemed to be failure-proof. Unfortunately over the past decade, Burton has had run of films that have been extremely hit or miss. While many claimed he butchered “Dark Shadows,” he gained quite a bit of praise for Big Eyes. Fortunately for a film like “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” this subject matter seems to be right up Tim Burton’s alley.

The odd and extraordinary surrounding this film falls right in line with Burton’s picturesque themes and worlds. It has its resemblance to the “X-Men” films (as many have cited) but it carries with it a fair share of oddities which will allow Tim Burton to explore his own peculiar side of filmmaking. Tim Burton’s signature vivid colors infused with German expressionism should fit well into this film and I’m betting this will be a win for him. Some feel his style has been too contrasting for other films but I could see how many would appreciate it for “Miss Peregrine’s.”

The film stars Eva Green (Sin City 2), Samuel L. Jackson, Asa Butterfield, and Kim Dickens (House of Cards). It is slated for release on September 30, 2016 across the United States.

What did you think of the trailer for “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children?” Will this be a win for Tim Burton or another failure?
