Hands down, the novel is better. Yes, I found the first 100 pages boring and slow, but the final 100 pages are riveting and incredible. The book is better than both movies, yet both movies aren’t bad. These adaptations fall under the category of “They aren’t the book, but they stand on their own.” That’s why I’ll be comparing the two most popular film adaptations of Sir William Golding’s classic tale.
