In the first sneak peek of “Star Wars Forces of Destiny,” Disney gives us conceptual look of what’s in store for fans this summer. Many fan favorites old and new will be included in the series. Additional stories will be added to the “Star Wars” canon as Princess Leia, Rey, Ahsoka, and Jyn Erso are all mentioned to be included. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy established the target audience being children, but I’m sure that many fans of all ages will enjoy the supplemental stories

A long time ago I remember a book that I borrowed over and over from the school library was about special effects in film. The very end had a section what the future may hold with what can be done with computers. Maybe one day Marilyn Monroe could act again in films. I hadn't thought about that book in many years. Like the old saying goes, the future is now!

RIP: ‘Star Wars’ Actress Carrie Fisher Dies At Age 60

Carrie Fisher had been in intensive care since suffering a massive heart attack on December 23rd. She was aboard an 11-hour flight from London to Los Angeles when she went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital shortly after landing. While her brother Todd Fisher left us optimistic stating that she was “out of emergency” and stabilized, she unfortunately passed at 8:55 PST this morning. Spokesman for the family, Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher’s daughter, read a statement shortly after.

While particularly difficult to escape that spotlight, she’s also known as a script doctor for many notable films. In the 1990s she was brought in to fix films such as “Hook,” “The Wedding Singer,” “Sister Act,” and “Lethal Weapon 3.” While not officially credited for her work, in 1992 Entertainment Weekly referred to her as “one of the most sought after doctors in town.”

These visuals may be the wake up call for the world as seeing is believing.

Telluride Recap: Weekend Film Festival Kicks Off Fall Movie Season

The 43rd Telluride Film Festival kicked off Oscar season in the states and I had the pleasure and privilege to attend my second year in a row. As a diehard cinephile and lover of all things Colorado, this is the perfect film festival where I truly feel in my element. Though I wasn’t credentialed press, I watched 14 movies during the extended weekend while volunteering in one of the festival’s larger venues. I cannot recommend this enough as a way to be a part of this festival. The Telluride Film Festival, which happens every Labor Day weekend, is truly a cinematic experience. If you can get to the secluded part of southwestern part of Colorado, by all means do it! And volunteering is the most affordable way to attend.

Domestically the film pulled in over $238 million with some estimating around $245 million. Either way, “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” now holds the top spot for opening weekend numbers.

The film manages to pique interest with the core story and more risqué encounters, but tends to feel a bit dimensionally vacant without supplementary storylines to thicken the stock."Zipper" is well-shot, has ample sex scenes provocative enough to make Jenna Jameson blush, and an intriguing core story dealing with the prevalence of the high-profile sex scandal. Although the film is at-times overshadowed by the superficiality of the sexual theme, there is enough poignantly sultry content to make this experience worthy of repeat.
