‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ First Trailer Introduces Mantis And Baby Groot In Action

The “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” trailer is feature rich with brand new characters.

With Chris Pratt returning to the role of Star Lord, we see how the team chemistry has flourished since we last saw the Guardians of the Galaxy. Groot has undergone some scalable changes, but despite being cute, we see that he still packs a punch. There’s a bit more humor spread about and hints at some Star Lord and Gamora sexual tension. For the fans there’s even an introduction of Mantis, an original “Guardians of the Galaxy (2008)” comic book character. Take a look at the trailer below and see for yourself!

With the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” being a surprise success, hopefully the sequel can keep that momentum going. The anticipation has been high for this film and as sequels go, I’m sure we all can expect a bigger bang from a bigger budget.

Outside of this trailer, there’s still quite a bit to expect from this film. It was announced earlier this year that Kurt Russell will be making an appearance as Ego who will also be Peter Quill’s father. There was also a photo reveal of Nathan Fillion being referenced as Wonder Man.

There’s obviously a lot in store for the Guardians with some bigger names making their way to the cast list. Out of all the new characters revealed (and possibly not revealed), I’m very much looking forward to seeing Mantis integrated into the team. The trailer does its job of building anticipation for the film and I cannot wait for what comes next!
