Ferrell and Hart together in Get Hard trailer

Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart’s “Get Hard” trailer debuts!

About a month ago we got the first poster for the comedy “Get Hard.” Today we have the official trailer that pairs together the comedic duo Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. Take a look at the trailer below.

I think that pairing Ferrell and Hart in a film will give new life to both of their careers. They both have been typecast in many roles which may seem redundant to some but combining those typecast characters could produce a revitalized comedy film. From the trailer we can tell there are some apparent jokes regarding racial stereotypes and we also see the Ferrell and Hart that we’re used to. Kevin Hart has his usual short jokes tied in and Will Ferrell plays to his normal oblivious stupidity.

While the pairing of these two seems like a fresh idea, does anyone else see the comparison to the Rob Schneider film “Big Stan?” Schneider played a similar role of a rich executive sentenced to prison and seeks help for survival. It was also a comedy but the difference with “Get Hard” is that it seems to play more on the race card. Hopefully they use some fresh ideas to make “Get Hard” a creative comedy.

I think that “Get Hard” will be a hit or miss comedy. This duo is either going to please audiences with fresh humor or displease them with regurgitated comedy. Hopefully “Get Hard” will be a comedy that brings new life to both actors.

Do you think the Ferrell/Hart pairing is a good idea?
