How Stephen Amell scored the Casey Jones role

Stephen Amell Casey Jones

Word is out that FilmFad’s MCM, Stephen Amell (CW’s Arrow), is set to play Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2! If you recall, Casey Jones is the masked vigilante that befriends the turtles on their quest to keep the city safe. This is kind of Stephen Amell’s wheelhouse, so it should be exciting to see him in this role.

While the latest “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” was a disappointment in my opinion there were some positives to take from the film, namely that it made enough money to warrant a sequel that will hopefully right the wrongs of its predecessor. Most of the team responsible for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” including writers Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, remain intact but a new director, David Green, at the helm may prove to be just what the franchise needs (or not).

Stephen Amell tested well with Megan Fox

It seems Arrow (Stephen Amell) tested well with Megan Fox which earned him the nod. As awesome as “Arrow” is and has become, I am skeptical of TMNT. Megan Fox pretty much ruined the first movie and if her chemistry with Stephen Amell is what prompted this casting then what should I think? Stephen Amell can do no wrong right now so lets give this the benefit of the doubt.

What about you? Do you think Stephen Amell is all this franchise needs to make some damn sense?
