2017 Golden Globe Nominations Announced With ‘La La Land’ Leading The Pack

Last night, ‘La La Land’ cleaned up at the Critic’s Choice Awards with a whopping eight wins including Best Picture, so it should probably come as no big surprise that the Golden Globes proved to be equally kind by rewarding them with 7 nominations including Best Picture, Musical or Comedy. Trailing just behind the Damien Chazelle film are ‘Moonlight’ and ‘Manchester by the Sea’ with 6 and 5 respectively.

‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’ Coming to Broadway?

“Harry Potter And The Cursed Child” hasn’t been enjoying quite the amount of acclaim that the rest of the series has gotten. But the stage play has nevertheless proven to be a big hit in London since it’s premiere last summer. Still fresh off the success of the surprise hit ’10 Cloverfield Lane’, director Dan Trachtenberg is now looking to direct a biopic of the master illusionist Harry Houdini for Lionsgate. The script from Noah Oppenheim (‘Jackie’) is based on the book ‘The Secret Life of Harry Houdiini: The Making of America’s First Superhero’ by William Kalush and Larry Sloman.
