Andre Benjamin embodies Jimi Hendrix in this biopic trailer

Music biopics are very popular in film but audiences can be very fickle when it comes to their music heroes being portrayed on the big screen. From what I’ve seen in this trailer, Andre Benjamin seems to embody the role of Jimi Hendrix in Jimi: All Is By My Side.

While Andre Benjamin seems impressive as Hendrix, the plot seems lacking judging just by the trailer alone. Hopefully there will be a lot more substance that the trailer is not revealing, otherwise this film may not get the audience reach it’s hoping for.
